Welcome to the home of ARMA Austin

We are the Austin, Texas local study group for the Association for Renaissance Martial Arts. The ARMA is an international educational non-profit organization dedicated to the study and practice of historical European fighting arts of the 13th - 17th centuries. Our focus is on historical research and legitimate reconstruction of Medieval and Renaissance combat systems as an applied martial arts discipline.

Our practice is based on rigorous scholarship and study of actual historical fighting manuals, and earnest physical application of techniques described in these sources through physical conditioning, weapons training with simulated period weapons, and semi- and full-contact sparring.

The MTP 1.0 in Austin was a big success!

Our Member Training Program MTP 1.0 event on February 25, 2012 was a great success. Photos coming soon.
